Registry Style Weddings

For all sorts of reasons, many couples seek low cost weddings without all the ‘bells and whistles’ associated with larger weddings. For this reason I offer a service known as Registry Style Weddings.

This service is similar to you visiting a Registry office to get married, however the difference is you will be married in your own home and you will be provided with personalized assistance in organizing all the legal requirements for your marriage.

FIRST CONTACT - we will arrange a suitable time to meet, complete the Notice of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM) as well as other legal details and set a date for the ceremony (the date of the wedding must be at least one month after the NOIM is signed and lodged with me).

BOOKING CONFIRMATION - In some instances, couples require a booking confirmation letter and certified copy of the NOIM to give to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (or their Immigration Agent/Lawyer). This will be provided to you at no extra charge.

PREPARATION - In the lead up to the date chosen for your wedding ceremony, I will prepare all the legal documents and write a short ceremony covering all legal requirements. Should you wish to add some extra vows of your choosing and exchange rings you are welcome to do so.

CEREMONY DATE- On the date of your ceremony, once I arrive at your home, we will complete a few further necessary legal requirements and then I will conduct the ceremony. This should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

WITNESSES - You will need to arrange to have 2 persons present over the age of 18 to act as official witnesses. Once the ceremony is complete and the Marriage Certificates are signed I will express post the paperwork to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages for your Marriage to be officially registered.

OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE - Should you require an Official Certificate of Marriage (usually required for change of name or visa applications), I will assist you in completing the application and include this paperwork with the other documentation sent to BDM. Please note there are additional charges for this certificate, starting from $43.50 and payable to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - This service is offered for weddings with a maximum of 4 guests only. Should you wish to have the ceremony conducted in an outdoor environment (such as a local park) additional charges may apply and it is up to you to arrange any outdoor permits yourself. Should I be required to travel more than 10kms from Bundall Mail Centre, additional charges may apply. Please phone me to discuss.
